Thematic focus

Growing inequality and polarisation are making it harder for people to connect, fueling injustices, and sparking violence around the world.

This leaves many communities without access to the basic public goods they need—like quality education, climate resilience, safety and justice, civic engagement, and health—widening the gap even further.

We believe that by enhancing resources in these areas and ensuring equitable distribution, we can contribute to strengthening societies with broken systems and building a better collective future.

The Egregor network and its partners bring in-depth expertise on each of these thematic areas:

Protection for

Education & Child

Children and youth are the cornerstone of our future but they are the most vulnerable in times of conflict, natural disasters, and social emergencies. Let’s prioritize children protection and care, ensuring their physical and mental health, and their social well-being along with access to quality education. Egregor is advocating for holistic development and children’s rights.

We address crucial issues such as internet safety, bullying, and sexual abuse, supporting victims through long-term recovery.  Join us in championing initiatives that nurture their potential, regardless of circumstances, and let’s create a world where every child can dream of a promising future.

Adaptation to

Climate Change

The challenge of Climate Change can be divided into two conceptual issues. The first is understanding, quantifying, monitoring and actively reducing carbon emissions through interventions like reforestation, promoting alternative fuel sources, carbon capture and storage and replacing resource intensive processes with low carbon ones. The second is climate change adaptation and mitigation.

We believe that the ecological problem lies largely in profit-focussed overproduction which encourages high levels of consumption while also shifting blame and attention to individual lifestyles choices.
The solutions to climate change involve meeting human and environmental needs first, while being mindful of intersections with geographic, socio-political,security and justice challenges.

Protection for

Security and Justice

Security and justice issues arise from historical conflicts and uneven power structures. Violence is notably wielded as a tool to organise people. Actors of violence represent critical threats to democracy, economic development and our common well-being. Therefore, countering these actors and addressing sources of structural violence and of animosity, of conflicts and inequities are essential.  Facilitating factors such as systems of corruption, embezzlement of public resources and disinformation, need to be addressed more swiftly by national and international actors to enhance social concord.

The minimum that we should aim for is the true establishment of rule of law and regular examination of the principles of punishment to create a justice system that can assure some level of security to ordinary people. Penal systems should be reformed and is not the answer to all security concerns. Instead, we promote community service, mediation and reconciliation.

Protection for

Civic Engagement And Democracy

Representative democracy is championed as a morally secure form of governance, and yet its efficacy lies in the active participation of all people who live within it. The demands of modern society often leave little time for citizens to inform themselves and make political decisions, which has forced much of the world into reactionary rather than participatory forms of governance.

Effective and meaningful participation in governance requires a huge amount of effort, goodwill and trust. And yet, participatory planning, direct democracy and social mixing are some of the best ways to reduce pressure on governance systems while also allowing for broad scale acceptance, enhancing the dignity of citizens as well as opportunities for collaboration, mutual understanding and collective growth. Egregor supports the work of organisations in collecting, articulating and disseminating information, citizens rights and duties
