the Catalyst Program

At Egregor, the success of a social innovator is our measure of success. We build long-term partnerships with ethical, high-impact start-ups and non-profits to help them scale their vision and drive systemic change.

Our model

01 Identifying and partnering with innovators

We select a limited number of innovators each year who align with our ethical charter and work within our four strategic areas

Egregor has developed a methodology for selecting social innovators with 20 criteria that assesses different pillars:

  • Replicability: governance, consistency with the need for societal change, link with the ecosystem and resilience
  • Transformative energy: Innovation, inclusion, partnerships, risk appetite, impact on the most vulnerable
  • Added value & impact: Local and systemic impact, viability, proof-of-concept and sustainability.
  • Ethics: Diversity, transparency and well-being at work.

Candidate social and environmental innovators may be NGOs, start-ups/social enterprises or research teams. They must have been in existence for at least 3 years and have at least 5 staff. There are no geographical exclusion criteria.

02 Diagnosis and co-construction of a roadmap

We conduct a deep, multi-level analysis of each organisation’s culture, strategy, and operations. Together, we identify core growth drivers and barriers, and co-design a three-year roadmap to guide the scale-up process.

03 Technical support, guidance and strategy

Egregor equips social innovators with the tools, expertise, and networks needed to enhance their effectiveness and scale their impact.

  • Growth strategy – Our internal team offers structured guidance in venture development and organisational growth.
  • Expert support – Depending on the growth pillars identified (e.g. governance, fundraising, finance, communications, product), we deploy trusted specialists at no cost to the innovator.
  • Expanding networks & strategic positioning – We open doors to key stakeholders and position innovators for influence
  • Co-fundraising – We drive funding efforts with 100% of proceeds going to the innovators.

This comprehensive support framework is built for long-term success, driving innovation, financial resilience, and sector-wide influence.

04 Learning and Scaling

Egregor measures success not just by numbers, but by the lasting transformation of ecosystems and the comprehensive expansion of social innovations. Our evaluation approach goes beyond traditional metrics to assess systemic change, long-term resilience, broader effects at a sectoral level.

  • Impact beyond numbers – Our return on investment is defined by the ability of social innovators to scale new ideas, and drive structural transformation within their ecosystems. We measure how their solutions reshape their sectors, influence policies, and create ripple effects beyond their initial scope
  • Sustained growth & peer-led expansion – Once social innovators reach full operational strength our collaboration evolves into ad hoc support and integration into the Egregor Community. Here, they become contributors—sharing visions, methods, and expertise to inspire new innovations, forge alliances, and expand sector-wide change
  • Continuous learning & adaptation – Throughout the support period, we monitor progress, adjust strategies, and ensure solutions remain relevant and impactful. Our approach prioritizes long-term ecosystem evolution rather than short-term gains.
  • Storytelling & inspiration – The successes of our innovators are not just measured but actively shared—turning impactful initiatives into models of transformation that inspire future generations of changemakers.
