The idea of Egregor was initiated by Guillaume Soto-Mayor and co-founded alongside a diverse team of professionals from INGOs, government, research, private and the philanthropic sectors. It operates through multiple guiding bodies:
Egregor’s Executive Team conceives of and implements our strategic direction and regular engagement with social innovators, fundraising and knowledge generation. The Board is a community of people taking critical broad-spectrum decisions, while the Scientific and Ethics Committee is a supervisory body that makes sure we adhere to our ethical values.
The Executive Team’s complementary yet diverse backgrounds, expertise, and extensive network set Egregor apart as an organization. Our team’s interpersonal and communication skills enable them to work efficiently and sensitively with people from a broad range of cultural backgrounds.
By combining thematic, managerial, and operational know-how with wide geographic reach, we cultivate collaborative partnerships in fresh, forward-thinking ways.
Composed of 5 recognized professionals, the Board is responsible for the general management of Egregor, and is a decision-making and supervisory body. In particular, it is the Board’s responsibility to approve the strategic direction of Egregor and to make effective decisions on the conduct of Egregor’s operations.
The Ethics and Justice Committee is composed of top-level senior profiles whose professional and social engagements are aligned to Egregor’ vision and values. The track record of their professional experiences and the high value standard they have demonstrated throughout their career hold Egregor accountable with its charter of ethics and its vision.
Egregor’s parliament is a direct democracy tool that oversees strategic decisions made by the Executive Committee. It also provides a space to share innovative ideas and foster collaborations within the Egregor community. The parliament assembles a network of donors, pro bono partners, supporters, and other actors involved in Egregor’s journey. Its membership expands organically every year as Egregor grows and evolves. It is, for now, notably composed of Egregor’s Ambassadors such as Arnaud Flecchia and Myriam Vander Elst, as well as the Egregor’s Association Board Members such as Alioune Tine and Antonin Leonard.
